Beautiful scenery of Dumulmeori of all ages has been known for its beauty and remained as Lee Gun-Pil’s ‘Dugangseungyudo’ of Chosun Dynasty and Dokbeaktan of Kyumjae Jungsun and come down to this day. This is a famous ecological site that shall be passed down to our descendants as the beautiful heritage of The Republic of Korea and Yangpyeong.
This site is not just a simple park but a site to perform an experiment in how to effectively manage our small national land and to take it into consideration for making Han River a lifeline of our nation nominally and virtually. Yongmunsa Temple was established during the second year of King Shinduck (913) by the great Buddhist priest, Daegyeong. There is another story that King Kyungsun(927-935) personally took a trip to this location and founded the temple. During the fourth year of Koryeo King Wu (1378), Jicheondaesa moved Tripitaka of Gaepung Kyungcheonsa Temple and enshrined it, and during the fourth year of King Chosun (1395) Joahnhwasang has rebuilt it.
